IPT Tin Plates - Boxed Sets
Boxes of six tin plates all based on old porcelain plates held in various museums or art galleries around the world.
Each of the four pretty tins comes with six matching plates - ideal for picnics - posh or not so posh - or for finger foods or simply as wall decorations.
Clockwise from the top left corner the designs are as follows:
Duke of Gloucester Plate - design based on a Worcester soup plate of about 1780 held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Rosebud - based on a Sevres plate of 1771 also held by the Metropolitan Museum
Garland of Roses - also Sevres but this time based on a saucer dated 1760 held by the Wallace Collection in London
Basket of Flowers - based on a Nantgarw plate dating from 1817 - 1820 held by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.(JUNE 2010 THIS DESIGN NOW SOLD OUT)
Manufacturer has ceased production of Basket of Flowers. We have a very few left - all the other designs should be readily available but we do know the manufacturer has some misgivings about the future production of all these plates, so no guarantees.
The diameter of each plate is 10.25inches/26cm |
